The Brothers Ralph Start a Blog!

As Frodo is slowly giving way to the One Ring’s power, his dear friend/companion, Samwise, urges him to resist and to fight for what is good about the world. His speech is one of the many epic, tear-jerking moments throughout the Lord of the Rings trilogy and is something that we hold near to our hearts. Although neither Connor nor Spencer are addicted to Sauron’s ring of power, we both have strong visions/beliefs about our world and the potential of humanity if we band together to achieve a common goal. Over time, we have seen the unifying power of music and what it can do to better the world (think “Queen” at Live Aid in 1985 or “Bob Marley and The Wailers” at the One Love Peace Concert in 1978).

Queen and Bob Marley are both revolutionary figures who stood up for what they believed in and inspired others around the world to do the same. As a small, up-and-coming, yet experienced, band, The Brothers Ralph are dedicated to creating positive change for our community too.

We were born and raised in Lansing, Michigan, took a brief hiatus to explore the United States, and then quickly returned to where our roots/community are strong. In our two years back in Lansing, we have reconnected with so many old friends and feel the impact that we are making on a daily basis. As Mother Theresa once said, “I alone cannot change the world, but can toss a stone across the water to create many ripples”. Our promise to you is to always fight for what is right for the Lansing community and to promote its values and history through our music.

Our goal is to become full-time musicians. To do so, we do not need to be as big as the Red Hot Chili Peppers. We only need the time to spend honing our craft and enough money to live comfortably in our hometown. Here are ten tangible steps that we are taking to achieve that goal:

  1. Start a blog!
  2. Start an emailing list (if interested, you can sign up on our website)!
  3. Become true masters of our craft. Practice, practice, practice.
  4. Gig more (if you are booking for a private/company event, or know someone who is, reach out!).
  5. Actively involve ourselves in and provide services that benefit the Lansing community.
  6. Block out the noise and focus on self-improvement.
  7. Inspire others to love music.
  8. Keep grinding on our YouTube channel (special shout-out Louis Dionise, AKA “Sweet Lou”).
  9. Grow our fanbase in Lansing and expand from there.
  10. Have fun and live in the moment. Life only gives us so many chances.

If you are still reading, you are loved/appreciated. Thank you for your support and we hope to see you at one of our upcoming shows!

After all, “there’s some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it’s worth fighting for!”
