8/28/2023 – The Chronicles of Ralph is released; 8/28/2024 – “I Gotcha Now” is released. What a way to celebrate one-year of TBR!
“I Gotcha Now” began in 2020 when Spencer was caring for our mother. He needed support at the time and his wife, Jameson, was there for him every step of the way, making him feel loved, and serving as the rock of the family. He began writing the song and pictured her as an angel coming down to protect and reassure him that “we’re on our way!”
For Spencer, Jameson is the angel who sings each chorus. For Connor, it’s Natalie. Who is your angel?
Women are special, nurturing, and sacred human beings, who should be cherished at all costs. Our wives, mothers, and grandmothers are why the world keeps spinning. We never know how much more time we have left with the special women in our lives so please make sure that you tell them that you love them every chance you get.
“I Gotcha Now” marks a distinct musical shift for The Brothers Ralph with Corey DeRushia playing percussion throughout the track. The rest of our follow-up album, “Ralph Strikes Back/Return of the Ralph” features many of our other extremely talented musical friends and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on.
In the meantime, please share “I Gotcha Now” with your family, friends, and enemies, give your loved ones a hug, and keep relentlessly chasing your dreams.
Much love,
The Brothers Ralph
P.S. You may be wondering why there is a Hawaiian-shirt demon in our cover art…”I Gotcha Now” is about confronting your demons and choosing family over everything. We didn’t want the demon to be scary so we had Corey wear a Hawaiian shirt…the music video will tell the full story!
